blogsThursday, June 24 2004 5:58 PM PDTAmelante's Solo Adventures in Castle Zvahl Baileys (BLM AF2!) After I warped my party members home (thanks again Cymry, Peorth, Vermin and Revelin!), I invised myself and proceded to the interior of the castle. Dodging the Ahrimans actually turned out to be quite easy - for one person. Despite their big eye, they have quite the case of tunnel vision. At first, I tried to enter the central corridor through the far east side. I ended up aggroing an Ahriman. Knowing I couldn't win the fight, I just ran and aggroed 2 more. (I thought I could make it to the Keep zone.) And then... I ran up against an iron gate that was very much un-openable. :( I tried Escaping, got interrupted. Healed myself, used manafont, began casting Escape again... then died as an Ahriman Drained me to death.

Thursday, May 13 2004 2:28 PM PDTUpdates Well hey, it's been a while. What has happened since my last text entry? I beat genkai 1 one Saturday evening after a long 9-10 hour session. I leveled up alchemy to 50+ (and now it's more or less my only source of income... no more mining for Amelante! Er, I mean Ayachaacha!) One day, as a level 23 white mage, I was invited to a Japanese party. A few hours later, I left as a level 26 white mage (i.e. one that can Raise!) I completed mission 5-1. I gained a few more levels (lv 54 as of this writing) and will be looking for a genkai 2 alliance soon. And lastly, I managed to acquire Garuda and Shiva through the new solo battle quests!

Wednesday, April 14 2004 6:38 PM PDTGenkai Blues Well, I just went on yet another outing for genkai 1 (the first level cap quest). It's basically the subjob quest all over again. I happened upon the exoray mold back when I was level 46 or so. Our party in crawlers' nest got bored at how easy Horn Flies were, so we tried out an Exoray. Well, the very first exoray dropped the mold. Not knowing what exactly it was (or what it was for), I only lotted once I saw everyone else lot. :) I won the mold with a lot number in the high 900's. We chained quite a number of exorays afterwards, but none other dropped the mold before the party broke up.
