Tier 3I think I hit tier 3 around last weekend. I don't know what all the naysayers were blathering about. Just about every night, there's been some open RvR activity. In fact, one night I took part of two successful keep sieges. And one of those keeps was moderately defended. I was quite surprised once I found myself up on the keep lord floor with everyone else. Anyway, I'm playing utterly alone again. The guild I formed with a bunch of AoC/WoW guys eventually dwindled down to 3 active players. Then two. Then just me. Some went back to WoW, others I have no idea what happened. Well, I was expecting the guild to disintegrate eventually. WAR strikes me as a niche game, along the lines of EVE Online and CoH/CoV (both games which I still subscribe to, hah!) But it's kinda odd since the guild leader was so gung-ho about WAR, even saying something to the effect that he was going to delete his WoW toons. I guess that didn't really happen. ;) I went in with low expectations, and I'm having loads of fun. In fact, I have to give Mythic more credit than that. I'm totally blown away. Every night, I just drift from one activity to another. No pattern, no plans. I quest, PQ, capture battlefield objectives, siege/defend keeps, or play scenarios. And this is exactly how I like it. I can play for 1 or 2 hours. Or I can play all day (on weekends). It's great. And scenarios... A lot of people's complaints about tier 3 is the "Tor Anroc grind." But you know, I think they're just doing it wrong. Sure, I use "Join all," but I only use it for the first time. After each scenario (with the first one usually being Tor Anroc, ha ha!), I queue for all scenarios except the ones that I've already played. Such an easy concept. And in fact, there's a great add-on called Join Selected Scenarios that makes this an easy deal. So by the end of the night, I've usually finished all 6 scenarios for tier 3. Variety is good, mmmkay? So anyway, yeah. I'm rank 25 now and guildless. I guess I'll look for yet another guild. Though what gets me a bit annoyed is that I specifically rolled Destruction on Ironfist to play with the guys in my former guild. (It was the only server/side we could agree on.) Since WAR was announced, I've been wanting to play as a Warrior Priest (they have that 40k Librarian/Inquisitor look & feel). It feels a bit late for me to switch to my WP on Volkmar now though. (He's only rank 11 and probably well behind the leveling curve now.) I guess I'll see the next few days if I can find a fun, active guild to join on Ironfist.
